Begin by narrowing things down to a season. The time of year will naturally shape the look and feel of your photos and help guide your wardrobe choices. Whether you’re drawn to soft spring blooms, golden summer sunsets, cozy fall tones, or a clean winter aesthetic, picking a season helps everything feel more cohesive. You might also want to consider the season that you're getting married and stick with a similar vibe or go for something completely opposite.
From there, think about the kind of landscape that fits your vision. Do you picture yourselves in an open field at sunset, wandering through a forest, strolling downtown with a city backdrop, or barefoot by the water? Each environment brings a completely different energy to your photos, so it’s worth choosing something that reflects your style as a couple.
You can also make your session more personal by choosing a location that already means something to you. Maybe it’s your go-to date night spot, your favorite ice cream shop, or a simple Sunday ritual like biking along the waterfront.
